anybody else have this problem. whenever i turn hard they rub really bad. they are 205/50/15 on a 6.5" wheel. i was wondering if when i get swaybars will it help with preventing this. since the car won't lean as hard. i just feel like i am hurting the car so bad when i hear that rubbing sound. its worse than nails on a chalk board
What is the offset of your wheels? I have 205/50x15" Azenis on Kosei K1s (15x7" 45mm offset) and the wheel rubs on the rear upper control arm, which I fixed with spacers for the rear. But no other rubbing

Hate to tell you this but the fenders are all the same. I switched wheels from my 1993 Civic Ex to my 2000 Civic Si and those same wheels rubbed the same place on the outer fenderwells..
So what is your offset that would really help you know.

no i'm not slammed at all. its just a 1.8" eibach sportline drop. it only does it on hard turns, like when i'm doing little backroad runs and autocross
What wheels are you running? What offset?
I used to run a VW offset, +46 I believe, 15x7. It gave me plenty of clearance in the inside, but ended up having to roll the rears to stop the rubbing. A real low offset would give you the problem you're having, rubbing on the inside.
Those Sportlines might be the problem too. Don't let the name fool you, they're appearance springs above all else. I definitely would not have autocrossed on them.

It might help, but if your wheel offset is bad, then it's bad and there's not much fixing it except to roll the fender lips.
I'm running Azenis on 15x6.5 +40 wheels on my 93CX. I've got 500f/550r springs, a front GSR swaybar and a 22mm rear swaybar and I'm not rubbing at all... anywhere. I'm also not lowered that much though. I have almost 2 fingers gap to the fenders (large fingers).

Well the problem I see is your wheel size and offset. With that 6.5" width you need a 42mm offset.
Sway bars are not going to solve everything though - JeffS's setup cannot be comfortable for daily driving
I know cause I have 350f/400r and in PA it's rough. You really need to listen to us. He's running SUPER STIFF springs. Prolly stiff enough that the sway bars don't come into play.
You could insert spring spacers between the springs to help stop compression of the springs. I was rubbing with 215/45x16" Azenis tires and did the spacer install and that solved it for the moment.
The other thing you could do is buy new wheels which would be the expensive way.

You're correct. While I do plan to (and do) drive to track events several hundred miles away, I wouldn't recommend this setup for a daily driver.
I'm just giving an example of a setup that doesn't rub.

It's the offset of the wheel. Have you already tried rolling the lip of the fender/quartar panel in a bit? If it rubs on the outer fender area... Roll the fender lip back to it doesn't interfere.
Not every shop has a good fender roller either, you have to be carful not to take the paint off.

i really don't want to roll the fenders since i just got the car out of the paint shop a week ago and don't want to mess up the paint.
I had this problem with my 205 55 15 on the rear. It would only rub on the driver's side fender lip and the metal bumper reinforcement when i turn right. The car is like 1/2 inch lower on the drivers side than on the passenger side in the rear. I had this problem before and after I installed springs hoping that I would fix the problem. I got new tires that were a little smaller, 195 50 15 and it doesn't rub anymore. BUT, the ride height is still uneven so I just kind of side stepped the problem. Any ideas as to why the ride height it off? I'm guessing something is up with my lower control arms but I don't kno.
My fender roller uses a rubber wheel, so with the right amount of force at an even rate, you can roll the lip back without destroying the paint. If it didnt have a rubber wheel, i just might as well use a body hammer.

The fender wells on the 1996-up Civics are indeed larger tha the 1992-1995 stuff.
Just like the 1992-1995 stuff has bigger wells than the 1988-1991 stuff.
Ever notice how 16'' wheels look not so *** on the 1996-up Civis, yet on the 1992-1995 they look almost too big in most cases?
