Can i get a list of affordable performance upgrades for the S2000 that will make a difference (even if not really noticable) in the vehicle, i've already done an exhuast system with test pipe, thanks
Final drive gear. (the one that goes in your rear diff). The extra "power" doesn't show up on the dyno as in actual power, but mechanically you get faster acceleration.

final drive gear. stock is 4.10
popular "upgrade" options include, but are not limited to: 4.44, 4.56, and 4.77 final drive gear.
in basic terms, the higher the gear number, the faster the acceleration, but the lower not only gear top speed, but overall top speed as well.
4.56 is very popular, because essentially, it is the most "balanced", although the j's racing team uses a 4.9 on there S, and i have seen a 5.1 gear before as well. rev high indeed.
lurk moar, buddy.

nope. not if you don't have money.
an ems will run you 1-2k
boost- 6-8k if you want a nice setup, plus getting it tuned. and since you don't sound to mechanically inclined, forget about doing it yourself.
can't do nothing as far as going all motor without spending a boatload of cash...
you could upgrade to a better exhaust... intake... header.... but thats still a fair amount of money....that invidia exhaust of yours gives no gains...
uhhhh.....thats about it... maybe a vafc...maybe some little things here and there... but not much.

buddy, i used to have an invidia.
it came with the car when i bought it. it made maybe 1-2 hp over stock. its not noticible.
the "noticible performance your getting is probally from the combination of your tp, more than your exhaust itself.
and yes, i forgot about nawz.

i agree

s2000 and affordable..hmm. haha they dont seem to mix...
u'd think parts'd be slightly less expensive, cuz its a honda, than euro cars (i used to own a beemer and i thought **** for that was expensive)...but damn....haha u can easily spend 3500-4000 just on intake/header/exhaust depending on brand...but dood if u've got an S, dont low ball it....
GOTTA PAY TO PLAY DOOD! dont do the gutter stuff...get quality merchandise with proven gains...im pretty sure u can do some searches and find good combos that wont cost u an arm and a leg

Unless all you do is track that thing or ride 5000 rpm and higher all the time, that test pipe is causing you to lose torque which is a hard gain in an S2000. The S2000 comes with a high flow cat.....perfect for street driving and light track duty.
Bang for the buck.......gears for sure and lose that test pipe

What is the top speed of a s2000 stock? How much would 5.1 take it down too? I mean other than just trying to top it out on the freeway I don't see losing top speed as a huge deal. If I had 500 whp and was trapping 140 at the strip I might be worried but I don't and I probably will never. So how much do these gears actually reduce the top speed.
^ These are all calculated numbers, strictly to the numbers. This does not compensate for headwind/tailwind, uphill/downhill, aero modifications and so forth. And obviously if you have different sized tires, the numbers will change a bit, but you get an idea.
AP1 9000rpm, 245/50/16 tires
- 4.10 (stock) = 172.6 mph
- 4.44 = 159.3 mph
- 4.56 = 155.2 mph
- 4.77 = 148.3 mph
- 4.9 = 144.4 mph
- 5.1 = 138.7 mph
AP2 8000rpm, 245/40/17 tires
- 4.10 = 151 mph
- 4.44 = 139.4 mph
- 4.56 = 135.7 mph
- 4.77 = 129.8 mph
- 4.9 = 126.3 mph
- 5.1 = 121.4 mph

That depends on the driver. It's all about the launch.
It's definitely faster though. I've seen an ap1 4.77 vs an ap1 4.10 and the 4.77 put a good couple car lengths on the 4.10.
