Default Attention: Civic and Integra owners Carbon and Kevlar door inserts

I'm making this thread to see if there would be any interest in carbon or carbon/kevlar door panel inserts for 94-01 Integras and 96-00 Civics

I made myself a set a few months ago but destroyed my mold after I made a friend a set. Well now another local kid wants them for his car and am seeing if there would be any interest on HT for them. I am currently remaking the mold for him.

these are a few pics a failed infusion (bad bag and I had a 101 degree fever)

the new ones would be shiny of course, they would be made with UV resistant resin and would be clear coated as well

give me some feed back and let me know what you guys think

and for the Civics if enough people want them I would start making those as well

And one more shameless plug for my flat plates that you can order from me.

My guess right now at how much they would be is about $230 from what I can see on how big/ how much time it will take to make each pair. They will be pure carbon or kevlar and also infused.

I am working on other parts for integras now. One is brake ducts that replace the turn signals. obviously more for the race car crowd. they have been a pain so far b/c the opening is so small.

I am also working on a carbon or kevlar piece that fits over where the plastic piece that surrounds the shifter.

hope that answers some of the questions.

The only set that I have to take a pic with is the ones in the pictures above.
I'll throw some clear coat on those and hold them up to the doors on my car tomorrow and take a pic.

I'll email the guy I made the first set for and see if he gets back to me.

you may be right about the price. I'll have to see just how long it actually takes to make one from start to finish while I'm not distracted by 100 other things.

Some people are VERY picky when it comes to shiny stuff, and that means hours of wet sanding and buffing and clear coating

thanks for the input

I was thinking that 230 was a lot too. I thought it would be like half that, 115.

But keep us updated!

A general note, you must be a contributing sponsor to advertise on this site, and you are walking a fine line of solicitation within this thread. Just a heads-up

well my ultimate goal would be to become a HT sponsor, I own my own small composites company right now making go kart and motorcycle parts. But I hate doing the motorcycle parts b/c I don't ride them and relatively low interest in them.

thanks for everyones input
