Default DC5 rear lip disapointment

i thought that the rear lip from the R sat a little lower than it did... talk about a let down its hardly anything... don't get me wrong IT LOOKS SWEET

does anyone know of any other rear lips, that aren't fiberglass, that sit a litttle lower?

Why, specifically, do you want a rear lip that is dragging the ground?

i don't think i said dragging on the ground... but as an explanation here ya go

i do not have a lowered car nor do i want one in the area i live... i like the look or illusion that is created by a lower back end... thats just me...

since i haven't found one looking around that isn't fiberglass then i am going to say there is no such thing...

i don't know who wants there car draggin on the ground........ OG that was a bad way to put it

If you want the 'look' of a lowered car, then you need a full body kit...like the A-spec kit for the RSX (front, sides and rear).

Just a rear lip won't do it. Sides have more of an impact anyways.

You could get away with a subtle drop if you wanted to get a little lower. Just adding a rear lip won't really help the car look that much lower, a full lip kit will though. You can go with the A-Spec lip kit, or Wings West offers one for our car as well.

Sorry about the link, but I didn't feel like adding pics to photobucket just to post them on here. Is there anyway that could be changed. To make it so we can just save then add to out post? Just wondering. It would be alot faster and easier.

Yeah, right click the image and copy the addy.

The rear reminds me of the A-Spec lip. I believe WingsWest makes a Type R lip copie (rear).

Not too big on the Ft lip, but the back looks ok to me. Side skirts look good too.

That kit makes me cringe. The only kit that looks good on the RSX is the A-spec kit or the genuine Type R stuff.

Even the Mugen kit i'm kinda iffy on.

I'm all for the A-Spec kit. Looks the best on the DC5 IMO...

I HATE THAT GAY LIP KIT except the rear which is not that bad but i wouldn't purchase it. 100% pure ricey gayness. I was trying to figure out what lip kit the previous owner put on my car and now i know. when i bought the car the front had no lip THANK GOD after seeing those pics but now it's back to stock. The sideskirts are still on... i'm pissed i didn't see that untill i got to the dealership, and the rear lip is still on. I just got some OEM sideskirts so those gay sideskirts will come off. They look ridiculious because they have some wing tip on the front of the sideskirts. It embarasses the crap out of me driving a car i love with ricyness. I've had people ask me what the hell are those things, i just tell them some stupid previous owner wanted "ski racks" on the side. On top of that the previous owner ACTUALLY drilled screws into the car to help hold up the little lip thing near the back of the sideskirts. Boy if i actually saw that and knew that i would of got this car helluv a lot cheaper. All i have to say is that lip kit is gay purely gay. Stock FTW. So technically i have half a lip kit and it makes me cringe. like i said the rear lip isn't all that bad but i'd rather have it stock. I'll see how well the rear lip flows with the stock sideskirts and stock front lip.

Yeah, that front lip is horrible looking. The more I look at the sides, the more I start to hate them. But I could mess with the rear and maybe mix it in with the A-Spec kit. Would cover up my GT Spec exhaust nicley I think.

My opinion is that a car that tries to look lowered that isnt, by adding a lip kits/body kits makes the car look funny. especially the rsx. the rsx stock looks like a truck and when you lower boy does it look sweet. I would either keep it stock, or just lower it. good luck

One more vote for A-Spec or ITR. Unless you go with full on Ings+ or Mugen bumpers all the others make the DC5 look like a toy car from a carnival.
