SSC '99 Civic Si for sale - FL - $7900
My friend is selling his car, and since he normally is into subaru's and doesnt post on here, i figured id post it up for him, since you guys will probbly be more interested than his Nasioc buddies....
------------------------------------------
Races in SCCA club racing (road racing). Class is SSC (Showroom Stock). Class is all bone stock cars w/ the exception of racing tires, brake pads, fluid, roll cage, fire system, race seat, steering wheel, A/C removed, radio removed. Of course, to be competitive, the car has to be thoroughly massaged and tweaked using stock oem pieces to extract maximum handling and power. So yes, it's stock - kinda.
The car be run in Showroom Stock C through 2009. After that, it will be moved to Improved Touring or you could race it in NASA's Honda Challenge.
The car qualified 6th at the runoffs (SCCA national championships - it aired on Speed on 11/14. Finished 5th. The nicest car on grid at the runoffs, if not one of the nicest SSC cars in the country. It's in excellent condition, straight and shiny. Jim Daniels built (best out there). Engine built by Sunbelt (completely rebuilt to factory tolerances to obtain maximum hp). The car was built from a salvage title (like most race cars). But it's 100% straight. It has to be 100% straight to be competitive, and this car has shown itself to be very competitive. Richard Boening qualified the car 4th at the '05 runoffs. The car was completely refreshed before this years runoffs. Paint, bumpers, moldings, bushings, suspension assemblies, brakes, bearings. Engine was gone through, compression and leak down tests all passed. It's like a new civic. Odometer shows 70k miles, but since my complete refresh, the car has 100 miles on it (all racing miles).
Tons of spares. Enough one session tires to last a season - hoosiers, bfgs, hankooks. 4 sets of wheels. one set of rains. spares galore - belts, hoses, bearings, plugs, distributor, suspension pieces, etc. etc. - anything that could possibly break.
Don't worry, the pink decals peel off and the blue wheel paint will easily come off w/ some paint thinner.
I have a nice new open trailer that I will sell with the car, if you want it. Steel frame, Aluminum floor, tire rack, tool box, spare tire, custom ramps, electric brakes, $2900. I can also add a traqmate data acquisition system w/ display for $700 and a Racing Radio for $900 (crew chief to driver).
This is a perfect first race car. The class if fun, exciting, it's national level, you can get on TV, and the car is a piece of cake to keep running. Maintenance is as low as a street civic (it is all oem components after all). It's also good for experienced racers as the driver's at the top level are amazing.
Let me know if you have any questions.

scuff mark from a celica. it's the only blemish on the car.
