Default Quarter panel thread 92-95

I want to replace the full rear quarter panel on my eg since it was hit and has major rust on it. I want to use the OEM skin replacement and I know there was a thread on here that had the whole description on how to do it. i just can't find it. Can anyone help?

i guess that is one way to do it but it is very back yardy, do it right, putt the glass, drill all the spot welds, there is a reason the skin comes in the whole quarter and not a little chunk.

I agree with the above post. I was looking for the post that describes how to drill all the spot welds and remove the entire quarter panel. I know it is more costly but the rust on my hatch is also on the rockers plus it has a small hit on the side. Nothing major but impossible to fix without a lot of bondo. That's why I want to replace the whole quarter. has anybody seen that thread??

i dont agree.. if you dont ahve bad bad rust.. like the one above write up- the patch panels are fine all you nee to do is replace coat and use weldthru primer and coat all areas with self ethc primer and rust protections and youll be fine. wy replace all the metal unlss its all bad. i can see... paying 687$ from honda for a door back 1/4 on hatch or a full 1/4 a pillar back about 800 if it was side awipped but your talking a few weeks of work.

good luck

Although this thread is way old, I will agree with the above poster. Replacing an entire quarter for a 2"X1" patch of rust is foolish and a waste of money.
