Default **Wrecked Integra........Worth Fixing????**

My friend was just recently in an accident and rear ended somebody. He wants imput/advice to see if it is worth keeping and fixing. If not, he plans on parting it out. He only had liability insurance so he's at a loss either way. The car still actually starts with no problems.

I would say no.

UNLESS...he has money he can invest in a JDM front like everyone else

looks like the driver door is off a bit. probably some frame damage. I hate to see cars get parted out, so I say fix it.

looks like it just needs a new rad support and of course all the other damaged parts.

i'm sure you can find all the damaged parts from someone that just went 98 front end or jdm.

I would part that out, seeing how the drivetrain is still good. There could be unknown frame damage that's not worth fixing.

Sorry for the big pics, not my camera. He was looking into JDM front ends and has about $2000 to spend on fixing it.

I think that's plenty if he wanted to just stick with usdm, jdm...I think it can be done, parts are 1500-2k, but you still need a new radiator support, radiator and etc.

More if he's not doing it himself..

99 USDM front ends can be had for $500 I believe, just depends on on the timing.

Look at things like the door lines, the engine mounts. If there are any signs of tears, or mis alignments, the frame moved and that will have to be straightened out .

Looks fixable to me, but check out the frame and suspension for any tweaks. Straighten that out, then it'll be good.

I think he's gonna take it to the shop and get it checked out and see how much it would cost to fix.

I was thinking the same thing as well.

Reconstructed cars never seem to be the same.

The only reason he doesnt want to let it go because it will be a complete loss and i dont think he's gonna get too much if he parts it out

Damn dude, i had a 2000 integra front end with the hood, lights, fender, bumper, and bumper support i was selling for only $400.00 bucks with fresh champ white paint on it!!.. but i sold it already so my friend can buy a JDM front end.. Just buy the T-support, much cheaper to do and install.. Thats what i did. Keep the car btw.
