i just realized that my A/C stopped working ever since my testpipe drew the check engine light.. call me dumb.. but i just realized that.. you think the CEL might be restricting the A/C.. i have no idea whats wrong.. my A/C was working not too long ago.. and the testpipe was the last thing i did

 

A CEL shouldn't stop your A/C from coming on. Can you hear if the compressor engages?

 

nope the ac compressor doesnt come on..

 

does the condensor fan come on if it doesn't you have a wiring problem or blown fuse if it does come on you don't have enough freon in it so you have a leak somewhere

 

i dont reallyt think the condensor comes on.. cuz when i press the ac button it doesnt get colder.. but the rpms do rise and i feel the car struggle a little.. which fan is the ac fan by the way???

ohh yeah im gonna check the whole line to see if it got dented or punctured!
also where is the fuse?? i checked the one inside the car.. its the same fuse for the heat and ac rite?? seemed to be fine!

 

i doubt there is any way that the new cat had anything to do with your a/c, just a random event
