Default bazooka tube directly to deck.

sooo i have a bazooka tube sitting in my garage, im pretty sure its non amplified. the rear has these connections . do you guys think it would be safe to connect directly to my pioneer deck? and if i did would it even work?

Safe? Sure... If it's a 4 ohm sub, it'll work.

Work well? Probably not. It'll produce some sound, but it really needs to be amped.

Ditto the above ^^^, it will work, you will get sound, however it will not be very loud and it will be full-range, you need an amp so you can get some power, [watts] to it, and at low-pass. 94

alright, thats what i thought, im just going to wait around for christmas money and buy some quality stuff that will be super solid. thanks for the info.

I was thinking the same thing... you can set up the rear output to sub on the pioneer deck. What if you wired it to an efficient sub/mid and used the built in crossover to have the fronts playing just highs? I know it wouldn't be the best set-up, but hey...

Well since bazooka tubes suck.. and the amplified ones have like 50 watt amps...

You can get an amp for that for like 60 bucks dosnt have to be anything special.

But ive heard bazooka tubes in some hatches and they sound pretty mean

No you can't... the RCA (Sub) output's are not amplified at all, its just signal.

In that case, powering a tube might be okay.
