Early Christmas Present for my EF
So my gf got a pretty badass CRX a few months ago. Factory paint, clean clean clean, 2 owners, mint interior and clean clean clean..
She's been rockin the D16A6, but a REALLY good deal came along and we couldn't resist..Read On...Enjoi the Pics ^_^

To anyone that knows Honda's well this next piece of information will be juicy. I knew this newB kid that traded his EG with a B16 in it for just a B16A swap. Stupid right? Trade a running car with a B16A engine for just a B16A engine...Well not if its a fully built B16A engine your trading for..
Anyway this kid had this badass B16A motor but was def. not a mechanic. He bought a POS 91 CRX Si shell and put the motor in it. The only thing the motor didnt come with for him was an ECU. The guy that sold him the swap, sold the ECU separately because he got mad cheese for it. So he put a stock PR3 ECU on it and always wondered why it ran like ****. 2 Week ago he comes to me and say hes sick of it and would take 1400$ for the swap. I went to the bank 2 days later and pulled the money out. I paid him then went to his house and ripped the motor out of his car, threw it in the back of the truck and headed to my house to swap it in.

After having this motor in for 2 days I can tell a number of things. First and far most, it has cams. It runs like **** because its on a stock tune with after market cams.. So I decided to break down the cylinder head and see what was going on. To my surprise I found Skunk 2 Dual valve springs, Skunk2 Titanium retainers and Skunk2 valves. I also compared the cams to stock cams. Way different, so I looked it up and go figure, Skunk2 Stage 2 cams. I haven't pulled the head off yet to see what up with the bottom end. I haven't even mentioned the best part. It has an LSD tranny. Yes. LSD FTMFW

Did you recently buy this car with a snapped timing belt? If so, you stole that car from me. I had worked out a deal but it was sold before I could go pick it up. It would of been during the summer. Looks the exact same as the one I was gonna buy.

i highly doubt it was "your" car considering he lives in FL, and the gf was driving the car with the stock a6 until now...
to the OP - nice pick up on the b16a...
you should get an ITR/Skunk2 intake manifold and a bigger tbody for some nice gains. of course this on top of fuel management. are you going to stay obd0 or go obd1?

Easy tiger. I simply meant that I was working out a deal to fly down and pick it up when I saw it for sale with a snapped timing belt. All OEM Si, same everything really minus the wheels and CF hood. When I called to make fly arrangements the owner said someone else was coming to pick it up before I could. It was a minty fresh crx just like this one.

Oh, and yes, it was a steal considering the motor is fully built, and it came with Hasport Mounts, Hasport Shift Linkage, brand new MSD 8mm plug wires, LSD Tranny, and brand new NGK Iridium plugs. Lets see you get that whole setup for 1400$

used mounts, used shift linkage that could come with any swap, $50 spark plug wires, a transmission that could come with any B16 swap, and wow $10 spark plugs!!!!!
you got no warranty and you also mentioned that it runs like ***! great deal.
you dropped the motor in, fired it up, and after it ran like **** you tore the head apart and are happy with the outcome?
is this a tech thread? if so.... where is your technical advice? so far, it looks like a "heeeeeeyyyy look at meeee!" thread that your GF should have made since it's her car. go back and troll the RSX forums or repost this bullshit in appearance/cosmetic.

Wow that seems a little harsh for two guys that didn't really say anything more than that is a fair price. Looks like you have had issues in the past too which is why you don't have an avatar.
