Default please help. someone?

ok a have a stock (motorwise) d15b2 DX. im driving down the road, as soon as i hit about 3500 RPM, check engine light comes on, doesnt blink, just solid. and i can still drive the car, light stays on, just cant rev past 3500-4000 RPM.

this is very annoying. please help. i tried the SEARCH button. lol. didnt really find any answers.

you are going into limp mode. that means that some important sensor has failed and in order to avoid damaging your car, it doesnt allow you to rev over 4k rpm.

you need to check the code or codes being thrown, and begin troubleshooting the problem.

search terms to use:

limp mode
check engine

you should also check out the faq at the top of the forum.. that may be faster than searching.

id say try replaceing your o2 sensor, mine was doing this all summer only when i hit 6,000 rpm tho the engine light would go on and it wouldnt rev past 4 k. now if i turned the car off and started it back up the engine light would go away and stay off untill i went over 6k again. i replace the o2 sensor and havnt had this problem since.
