I've never see different size vtec solenoids before. Neither D or B or H.

one may be a d series solenoid and the other is a regular b series.
d series smaller and the b series bigger.

I always thought the actual solenoid is the same 3 both pattern for all of the engines. The whole assembly with the oil pressure sensor is different.

I can vouch for 1st gen B16A (obd)) being a larger solinoid than other gens. I have both a 1st b16 and a 2000 model B18C5, and they are in fact different sizes.
They are interchangable though as they both bolt up to the same casting head.

Here a couple crappy shots of the 1st gen B16 one, its just a little fatter than the new ones

i know for a fact that the Vtec solenoid gasket from obd will not work with obdI, the obd0 is thinner, but the place it sits in is also thin, the obdI is fat two fat, and also the corners are different, there is a thread about the differences. And yea you can use the NSX one but only on the obd jdm, you can try to track down a civic one, but yo its the same ****, the nsx doesnt have a better one the same one. if you expletive up and put the fatter one it will rip and youll loose all of your oil through you vtec solenoid, trust me it has happened
