Engine speed output?

im trying to rewire my dizzy plugs and i have one extra wire which is the engine speed output(blue) i was wondering what that is?

If you have a tach connect that wire to it. If you dont just let it hang.

hahaha the quotes above made me laugh! Ok so I got a question... My '00 ej6 doesnt have a tach. How hard would it be to put one on? If at all possible? What are you guys talking about a blue wire? where would I find mine?
