Default OEM 99-00 fogs install question. Hole saw size

In the instructions it says i need a 40 mm= 1.5 diameter hole saw to drill the holes into the bumper...I was looking around the garage and found a 2 inch diameter hole saw. Instead of going to the store to buy the 1.5 inch diameter hole saw, can i get by with this 2 inch hole saw? Thanks.

Yes, I'd recommend getting the right hole saw. Since the little dots on the back of the bumper mark the center of a 1.5" hole, if you do a 2" hole, your end hole (after you "connect the dots" and make the big hole) would be too large for the bezel to cover.

but if you think about it... the difference between the 1.5 inch hole saw and the 2 inch is a matter of a 1/4 of an inch from the center... maybe if i just move the holes where i'm suppose to drill a 1/4 of an inch closer too the middle away from the actual "+" spots where i'm suppose to drill, i could be fine.

Yes, you would be fine as long as you are very **** laying out the hole. Take your time and be careful and all should end well.
