Default *********REPLACED VSS, GUAGE CLUSTER, CHECKED FUSES STILL NO SPEEDO!!! HELP PLEASE!!!***********

I have a 94 civic si with a jdm d15b swap in it and i have changed all these things out and still no speedo it bounced around for a little bit bout a month ago, but died again. I have been researching and have found that on 96+ civics the wiring under the intake manifold rubs which causes a short in the wiring, I havent checked this yet but could it also be common in 92-95 civics? PLEASE HELP!! I WOULD GREATLY APPRECIATE IT!!!

its the connector at the VSS if you seen the speedo try to work at one point in time. disconnect the connector from the VSS. spray liberally with electrical connector cleaner both ends of the connector, work the connector together and apart a few times to clean the contact points, then spray again with cleaner, let dry, and use a fair amount of di-electric grease and your problem should be fixed.

i had the same problem. One of the wires on the plug for the VSS ended up being ripped. Couldn't find just the plug so I cut the 3 wires and hooked them up with connectors....just make sure you seal it well if you do this.
