Default CF hood/ hood dampers question

Im sure there has been a thread about this before, but My cf hood flew up on me a month ago, and from what I can see it was from the hood latch that bolts to the core support failing. Im replacing the hood latch and cable before the new hood is put on. Im getting another Carbon fiber hood since it wasnt the hood that failed on me, I was wanting to get tein hood dampers but Ive been reading up on it and it says theyre not good for the cf hood. The reason Im asking is because now Im getting mixed answers soo PLEASE HELP HAH

well it could rip the threaded holes for the hood hinges right out of the hood because of the extra pressure that is ALWAYS on the hood, it can also make the hood bulge up in the middle because the pistons are always pushin on the hood.

but i hear on some pistons u can release some of the pressure. im not sure how that works though

Or you could just put the stock one back on and not worry about it. My opinion, though.

Tein dampers are proportioned for the stock hood. CF, not so much.
