Brake Job on 2006 Civic EX - Need Help ASAP
OK...well...I've changed brakes on about 20 cars in my day and have never ran into this...
I have the car up in the air right now and took the calipers off. Went to take the rotors off and it looks like they have 2 phillips head screws holding them on. I have broken 3 tools trying to get one screw out with no luck.
Anyone have a clue on how to get the damn rotors off??????????????
PLEASE HELP!!
Thanks,
Tom

You put it into the screw, then hit the back with a hammer. It should be loose after that...

Your ITR has the same design. All but a few Honda's have the rotor retaining screws.
If you end up damaging the phillips head to where you can't get a #3 phillips head in there anymore, use a chisel and sledgehammer to break it loose by rotating it.

I did just this on my itr, so I dremled a slit into the head of the screw and used the flat head on the impact driver and got that damn bolt off. This is another alternative to the chisel and sledgehammer.
