what kind of head

Default what kind of head

i asked this question before but didn quite get a straight answer, i pulled a junker motor for a rebuild, its a zc single cam vtec, now i need to buy parts for the valvetrain, its out of a 92 civic so that would make it a a d16z6 head right?

You didnt get a straight answer cause your not asking a straight question if its out of a 92 civic it isnt a zc single cam it is a z6 in which case yes you buys parts for a 92-95 civic si hatch or ex coupe.....it is a usdm motor correct?

but the numbers on the block just say ZC

There are multiple engines stamped "ZC," including SOHC, SOHC VTEC, and DOHC. The SOHC VTEC ZC, which he indicated that he has, is essentially a D16Z6.

Yes, you can use all D16Z6 parts. The head should be stamped P08.

I used a Z6 parts on my ZC sohc vtec
