Default GSR cams in a B16a2 head

Heard back and forth on this, but do you have to use the GSR cam journals when installed in a B16 head? And what is the reason you do? BTW, 95 GSR cams and B16a2 head.

ideally the cam journals should match the motor the cams are out of, so any wear patterns match up... but since to get the lower half you'd need his entire cyl head, i would just use your old ones. better to not mix 'n match.

one reason why some people would never buy used cams.

also, be sure to replace the little O ring while you're in there
