Please do a search... Honestly, this thread comes up a couple times every week. If you look, you'll find a plethora of information and opinions.

I prefer and own Comptech.

Instead of doing a search I'll give you my Opionion on the AEM vs Comptech
I've had both
AEM
1.great top end power
cons
1.very loud at high RPMs
2.good chance of hydrolocking
3.little loss in low end power
Comptech
pros
1.Sounds OEM not loud at all
2.slim chance of hydrolocking
3.great power through entire rev range
4.good throttle response being its a short ram.
cons
I can't think of any

The only Con of comparing Comptech to AEM, is that the Comptech is more expensive... But it's money well spent IMO...

You can't go wrong with either. BTW, where are you located? Does it rain alot? Unless you plan on driving through lakes...hydrolocking ur motor would be hard.

Not with an AEM,if your car is lowered and you get stuck in a bad down poor you have the potential to hydro lock.I almost did several times in bad storms.I once had my car parked came back and almost most of the nose was under water, can't take chances with mother nature.

AEM and Comptech are both known for their exceptional intakes. Both the AEM and Comptech are 100% safe. You see, when you buy the Comptech short ram and ice box, the dollar amount will be the same as buying the AEM CAI and the bypass valve. Both if used correctly will give great response and will be safe to use in any weather condition.
