Default what kind of bass blockers do I need?

I just installed a new Kenwood deck and am about to install some Alpine Type S speakers, but since I will be installing the amp/subs in a few weeks, I was thinking it might be a good idea to install a high pass filter ("bass blockers") so that my 6.5"s will act as mid and high range speakers and let the subs handle all the bass. I hate when it gets sounding muddy when the subs and speakers are both trying to create the low end frequencies. My question is what should the cutoff be? I have been told around 190 or 200 Hz, is this a good idea?

Honestly i would first install the speakers w/o the bass blockers and see how it sounds. U might be suprised by the kind of mid-range sound u get out of those speakers.

Many kenwood decks come with front, rear, and sub crossovers. Check your owner's manual.

For 6 1/2's I generally set the crossovers @100-120 for coaxials.
