picking up b16 block today

Default picking up b16 block today

alrigth im picking up a b16 block today with p73 pistons stock rods (going to shot peen them) crank and everything, im picking it up from a good friend for 250bucks which i think is a great deal, i plan on doing auto x and any track event i can with it and i just wanted to know what your suggestions were and where can i find a head. oh i drive a 2000 civic ex buy the way.

If you're staying N/A get those pistons the **** outta there ASAP.

And I think that price is a lil steep. I only got $50 for my complete B16 shortblock with P30s.

Yeah, maybe, but it depends where you live in this country. I have a beat-up 92 EG/B16A very few mods and I have been offered $2500+ many-a-time. They aren't very common in my state (compared to the W coast anyway) and go for a lot more than they should.

Also, I garrantee I could sell just my stock block for $500 around here.

Save the money on shot peening and get good aftermarket rods too(Eagle H beam, Carillo, Cunningham etc...)
Especially if you want to auto-X and the engine is apart anyway.

you know you are lowering your compression ratio with those p73 pistons?
you can pick up a Ls shortblock for half the price.
dont get B16(no torque when is N/A)
