Default 92 - 95 Civic - Sway Bars / ASR Brace Advice?

Hey guys. Awsome site, even though i show a nooB i am a long time Reader, First time poster.

Im located in australia and doing some suspension work at the moment. Looking at doing sway bars. As i have a EG civic GLI (d15b7). Has No Rear sways at the Rear and small Sways at the front.

Been haveing a problem trying to find what manufacture makes sway bars for my EG civic. Im after around a 26mm Front Sway and around 23mm rear. What manufactures make such a sway bar ? and where can i purchase them from?

From what i have been told only OEM ITR / CTR Sway Bars will suit the ASR brace on our EG civics. Do Any manufactures make and direct replacement sway bars? that dont require specific mounting kits? just bolt to all the factory points?

If so what manufacturs are they and where can i find / purchase them?

Thanks in advance, look forward to some replys

Regards Lyle

Have you looked into Whiteline's sway bars for Civics?

If you are running a sway bar that large of a diameter it is wise to use a BRACE to ensure no subframe tearout. I believe mugen makes a 26-28mm or something in that range. ASR, Comptech, ITR offer 22mm sways. Comptech & ASR also offer the subframe brace which reinforces your subframe so there will be no damage. When running such a large bar more stress is being put on a really weak area of your vehicle, so i would get one if i were you to prevent any mishaps. ASR also offers the hollow sway bars offered now in 32mm if you were looking into that.

Thanks for the info!

what i gather, only certain sway bars can be used with the ASR brace correct? such as Honda OEM that bolt strait to the factory mounts, ie.. dont need a mounting kit ?

Can anyone suggest a resonable setup, im after something that willl perform very well, and i will need to do the Fronts as well.

What is the stantard size of the EG civic 1.5 Sohc non vtec Front sway bar?

what are some good combinations? eg
26mm front 23mm Rear etc?

Any reccommendations on where i can purchase these parts? Can any traders on here do them?

For a normal daily driver and occasional spirited driving i would suggest the asr w/ 22mm sway. Its perfect. I believe its one of best things you can spend money on, night and day differences. As for front sway, you wont be needing that. You need the rear to come around and follow through with the front, you are trying to prevent understeer, a larger front on your car is just going to make it worse and cause it.

My car is a street drivin show car, not a daily Driver. I just have the standard 92 - 95 Civic Front sway bar. After Something For the fronts that will look really good too.

Anyone know the size? i believe its 14mm or something?

Does anyone konw who on here sells the ASR brace and the 32mm Hollow ASR Rear Sway ?
