I have a 2002 honda civic dx. My drive light will begin blinking then my car will either die or lose power. I must turn off the car then restart it. The transmission was rebuilt by honda in 2005. Of course the transmission is out of warranty. I purchased the car used from the honda dealer and it took me 4 trips to them to get them to even admit that something was wrong with the transmission. I need help what can it be it is dangerous with highway traffic here.

 

Well first off you can describe what problems the vehicle has and exactly what it is doing too. Can't be of much help if you dont explain what is wrong with the car, duh. lol, just be very descriptive because what i read is only what i know is wrong with your car. Here to help you bro, we all are.

 

while driving, the vehicle will sometimes start to lose power(slow down on its own) or die completly. I must turn the car off then restart the motor to get power back. Then it is fine. It is intermittent. The car is an automatic. The only warning I have that it is going to die or lose power is that the drive light will start to blink. I do not know what else you need to know.
