help

so how important is a knock sensor if its not there what could it do or cause???

You'll throw a CEL. I don't have a knock sensor on my b16 right now. Other than that it isn't affecting anything that I know of.

the comuputer uses the knock sensor to retard timing under engine load and if not working, it can cause some problems
