my rack & pinion is about done, and i was able to get a free rack & pinion of a crx hf and was wondering if it can fit my 89 si ?

 

itll fit.

but DX/HF rack is different than Si since Si has variable ratio.

also, for the effort of replacing the steering rack, you can rebuild it for $10 in extra parts, basically its just the steering rack END bushing. white plastic thing. easy to take out once the rack is out. replace that and adjust the pinion gearbox and its officially "rebuilt".

 

I think they are different...
The si is different than the HF/DX

what do i need to do to adjust the pinion gear box? Also does ne one have a pic or diagram of the steering rack end bushing

so yes the hf crx rack and pinion will fit . I think im going to order the quaife Quick ratio rack and re build my rack for a spare

I have, its much quicker than you'd think.
