Sound from my brakes
I have this clunking sound comming from my brakes. At slow speeds, comming to a slow stop, right before the car stops a hear a clunk sound. Also, with the brake applied and the car in drive, say at a stop light, and release the brake just a tad, I get the same sound. Almost sounds like a fart. More of like a grinding fart. It doesnt seem to be comming from any of the wheels. Does anyone have ideas?? Thanks guys. New to the board and it seems like people know their stuff.

My guess is the brakes are groaning. Crud accumulates on the pad/rotor surfaces and causes a chatter of sorts. Have the pad thickness checked to see if you are due for replacements anytime soon. Replacement should get rid of the problem. Ohterwise, if brake performance is normal, it's just an annoyance issue.
I have the same issue on my accord and on my civic. I changed the rotors and pads on my civic because they were due, that didint fix the problem, I thought I had bought crappy el cheapo parts so I had them removed and replaced with genuine Honda parts, but them Found out one of my caliper was leaking so I had it replaced and problem solved, at least for a few of weeks, I feel that the problem is coming back, but not as bad as before though, possibly I might have to replace the other side caliper as well.
My accord is now due for new brakes, so I'll start by replacing rotors because they are old and my car shakes a lot when I slow down, will replace the pads, check the calipers and clean and grease contacts, and have a brake fluid flush. I hope that takes care of it.

Is it still under warranty? I took my Accord in for a similar problem, except I had a vibration in the pedal when stopping, too. Honda service admitted that the pads were made of a material that is too hard, and they replaced my brakes for free. There was no official recall that I am aware of, but they will cover it if under warranty. If not, you can try replacing the pads with the Bendix, which work really well in my experience.
