Default help weird cutting out when cruising

help guys this is my last hope. i drive my b16 swapped crx about 170 miles a day mostly all highway and interstate driving and i have noticed in the last few weeks its cutting out (almost like it doesnt fire on a cylinder) from time to time when im cruising in 5th gear around 4500-5000 it cuts out but when i drop down to 4 grand it doesnt seem to do it as often or as bad but the problem is noticable. i have changed the spark plugs plug wire and even changed the distributor, the fuel pump was upgrade last summer and the filter was change the spring before that, this car has me and my buds stumped please help

Does your engine have an EGR valve on it, if so pull the vacuum hose, plug the hose and go for your highway cruise, if the problem stops, then deal with your EGR system, FAQ's have all the info you need. If you have EGR, this is the RPM range it operates at.
