random bs insuance Q
no, my mom is just really gay with insurance. they are REALLY nice to my mom, and work with her. so she decide's paying a **** ton of extra money is worth the loyalty.. thats GOOD FOR HER. it was my 1st year and i wasnt sure what i was doing. i got 6 months paid for for a Xmas present. she refuse's to put me under her insurance because she's a bus driver and if i get in trouble, so does she in a way. but yea, i have 2 points on my liscense, which im getting taken off next week hopefully by that driving class thing. and ive had a suspended liscense already >_< (unpaid broken taillight ticket) i was driving to a party got wasted, completly forgot about the ticket. then went on vacation... soo WOO!!! im calling the PD also tomorrow to get everything cleared up. i plan on buying a RSX-s soon... just sold my 92 si and i think its gonna be a good downpayment
oh yea, im gonna beat up my boss for a raise also. so hopefully ill be able to manage this!!!

Your insurance should be right what is it now. Could be a little more, even a little less. I'm paying more on my winter car (89 CRX Si) for liability then what I pay for my EP with full coverage. EP safety features really pull the price down with my insurance (AAA).

unfortunately, the dc5-s counts as a sports car
i went from paying 2000 a year with my 93 prelude si to what state farm wanted which was 4200 a year for a dc5, but i switched over to farmers and im paying A LOT less now.

I know people have the desire to drive a 'sporty' car, but over $300 a month for anything is flat insanity.
I'd check out cheaper car options or call different insurance companies to see if you can find reduced rates.
Maybe check out the EP3 as they aren't stolen as often and they probably don't fall under the sports-car classification.

Just so you know....in NY the class will take points off of your license, but you will still have the points on your insurance for 4 years. You will get 10% off of your insurance, but that doesnt really equal out the amount extra you will pay because of points.
