ReDrilling Rim holes
I can't find anything with the search... my other car has 5x112 bolt pattern and very limited options of choosing rims.
is it safe to bring my 5x100 rims to a machine shop to redrill with 5x112 holes?
I don't want to use adapters as much as possible because of offset
are the wheels you wanna do close capped? do they have a center cap that covers the lug holes?
what they would have to do is either fill in your holes w/ metal then redrill to your desired pattern or since you are gonna bring the pattern outward on the mounting pad then they can just drill the existing holes outward towards the spokes then stamp inserts in them..
i have seen it done and have owned wheels w/ it done but don't really recommend it unless the wheels is rare or whatever.. overall, best thing to do is sell those 5x100's and get wheels that work....if you buying new then ask the company/store if they can get a 5x114 made to fit 5x112....or

actually I want to get the Mitsubishi Evolution 17" enkei rims. I think it has 5x114.3 or something bolt pattern. it doesn't have centercaps.
i really like the style because it looks very similar to the Mercedes Evo2 rims.
However, the Mercedes evo2 which is 5x112 bolt pattern are very pricey and hard to find, so I thought I might just buy the lancer evo rims and redrill them.

8. This is honda-tech.com, a place for sharing information about Honda and Acura cars. This isn't the place for information about wheels and tires for your grandmother's Buick or your son's Mustang; there are other websites that specialize in those cars, where people will have more specific expertise with those cars than here.</TD></TR></TABLE>
