I say no. Full-Race is pretty hardcore.

Ok, so about how much hp can I get safely with stock internals? I`d like about 300-350whp. I figure that should get me to low-mid 13`s.

Below 300. Tranny will start to go at that time as well.

Ok, so can I run mid-low 13`s with stock internals? If so, how? If not, what would I need to replace to safely run a 300-350whp turbo setup?

Intake, Racing Header, Exhaust, KPro. You should be in or damn to close to 13's. If not, start losing weight and stiffen up the suspension, and you'll be fine.

Oh wow! I didnt know that it reacted so well to i/h/e with a tune. So if I went bolt-on crazy and got all that plus TB, Intake Manifold, fuel rail, ect... could I go mid 13s?

My god man, Just end it. It's not that hard to get an rsx-s in the 13's. Do a damn search.

Yeah the k20 loves I/RH/E, add Kpro to the mix with a good tune and you'll be set.

rsx-s with i/h/e/kpro from what Ive seen do high 13s. Low 13s youd probably have to get cams.

Yeah, see thats what im tryin to stay away from. I dont wanna do any work on the internals. Well.... maybe cams.... im just scared of goin into the engine! I feel like once I do that, it wont feel the same.

I know you cant compare a 72 Mustang with a 351C to an RSX, but when I put a cam in my Mustang..... It just turned it into a loapin beast that hauled *** but didnt run great after that. That lead to head work, then I just got greedy for power. $7k later..... I didnt even wanna drive it anymore cause it was like I was drivin a racecar around.

I have read that turbo cams make a HUGE difference on turbo`d cars with stock cams but it just scares me. Should I be so leary of this or am I just being paranoid?

Wiseco 9:1 pistons, manley rods, Golden eagle sleeves, Supertech valvesprings retainers and seats, micropolished and balanced stock crank, upgraded oil pump spring, ARP headstuds. I would have just done the oil pump, spring retainers and seats if all I wanted was 460whp, maybe the ARP head studs as well.

Ok, so how much power would I have to put to the ground to hit low 13s? And would stock internals and tranny be able to handle it?

Some people have broke into the 12s with a greddy kit on a dc5 chassis (~300whp). Stock internals and trans should be fine. Just preload the trans and dont shift like you're in F&F and you'll be fine. Get yourself a decent suspension and Hoosiers drag radials or BFGs if you want to use them for the street and 13s should be no problem. But remember you will almost always want more power. I originally wanted only 300whp and look where Im at now....

Lol! Yeah, im the same way! I guess if I end up wantin more power i`ll start upgrading on the turbo kit I have at the time (If thats possible) I didnt realize the GReddy kit would do that much. Is there a specific GReddy kit or is there just one? I have only found one so far.

If you want to keep your engine/trans stock I suggest a stage 1 GT kit. You can easily put 380 to the wheels and with a good K-pro tune it will last a long time.
BTW I strongly suggest an LSD.

Hey blueshark have a question for you.. I have a 04 type s, with i/h/e I'm about to drop a stage 2 turbo in, with stock internals what is a safe range for my psi? As well i am wanting to push 350-400 Whp for the now, could stock internals handle this (safely)? and what other mods would it take to get me in this Whp range...

You can make plenty of power on a stock motor, just get a good tuner. That full race kit will be fine

All I really want is 300whp. I wanna be able to safely hit low 13s on street tires. If I did end up becoming power hungry and had to upgrade my tranny, what exactally would I have to upgrade? Would I have to get a whole new tranny or just a few stronger parts? And how much would that cost me? (Say I was around 400whp)
