EG Hatch - People with a cage....

What cage are you using? Where did you get it from? I'm considering this one from http://www.chassisengineering.com - only $160 and it's a 6-pt welded cage... perfect for what I need it for. Anyone have any thoughts or other brands/websites that carry cages? Already looked into Art Morrison cages - kinda pricey for basically the same thing Chassis Engineering has to offer. Lemme know... ordering up one this week.
Is that a custom application? I have not looked into it, but for that price I imagine they expect you to make it fit. Not a problem if you know how to weld I guess, but AME is selling convenience. Not an answer to your question I guess...

Custom app or not, welding is not a concern for me but then I don't want to make one out from scratch (too lazy
) but what I'm asking is what other brands or companies that sell rollbars/cages at an affordable price?

i just bought a autopower 6 point roll cage. i'm in the process of painting it before i install it.
from the initial inspection of the cage the mounting plates are a little on the small side. i'm going to fab up some larger plates and sandwich the floor board with another plate to beef it up a bit. its also pretty heavy.

autopower
The cage from Chassis Engineering is almost half the price of an Autopower cage... I've looked into it.
I'll check out Kirk Racing.... thanks

Kirk is close $$ to Autopower.
The only thing I don't like about the pic of cage you posted is that it doesn't have a full halo. It looks like a glorified rollbar -- with some leg protection. Why are you going with this over a rollbar?

Depends on what the car is going to be used for the Autopower is not NHRA legal while the chassis engineering one is not SCCA legal for solo 1. If you’re just looking for a roll bar for open tracks I'd go for the Autopower race roll bar with the harness bar. A full SCCA legal cage isn’t the safest thing to have in a daily river even if it is padded.
Not an eg but this is an Autopower roll bar in an ek.
