Ok here is what's going on.

I have a '93 Del Sol S Automatic with a d16z6 in it.

I put a new cap and roter on and now the darn think wont start.
I put the old cap and roter back on and still nothing. It turns over but does not fire up. I even swaped out the ignighter and coil out of another dizzy but still nothing. I have double and tripple checked the spark plug order.

Any ideas?

 

What i think you did was, after reinstalling the cap and rotor back on the dizzy you must of put your spark plug wires on the wrong firing order.

I thought I had a picture but I dont, what is the firing order, there are only 4 ways to put the wires back on the cap if you know the firing order so what is it, for Double Jeapordy.

 

I dont think I am getting any spark but I'll have to test tonight. Thanks to those of you that replied with help. I'll have some more info tonight.

What about the coil? Is the fuel pump kicking on? Shld hear it when the key is just turned on. Ive had so many problems w this its made me sick Because of my dam pos hated msd external coil and cap. Take it off, runs great, put it on, run for few days and then just wont crank. But, need to find out if your gettin spark. Had this problem b4 on a diff car and ran a wire from batt to the hot side on the dist to make sure it was gettin power from the ign. and t hat was it. Just a thought.

 

Is it getting fuel?

 

check to make sure you plugged the wires for the coil and ignitor (inside the dizzy)make sure they are in the right spot! and check to see if you plugged the dizzy back into the wire harness! if that dont work then check your fuel injecors and fuel filter for clogs! and for gods sake next time you take wires off label them and the dizzy !
