94 rs integra. at night i turn on my headlights and about 5mins later the fuse would blow under my dash fuse box. i replaced it every time it blew but now the fuse does not blow and my tail lights are still out. DO i ahve a short or what else can i check or change?

 

did you recently install an aftermarket strereo? or if you already had an aftermarket stereo and the wiring job wasnt that great it could be shorting it out. iknow it sounds crazy(what does the stereo have to do with lights) but this is what fixed my old eg hatch. i took out the stereo and noticed there was a hot wire shorting out on the back of the stereo. gl

 

you know what there is a hot wire under the dash.The wire has a fuse on it and when i remove the fuse the fuel pump and instrument lights don't work.the wire does actually get hot.Its a fat black with a yellow line.It goes connected on one of the plugs that goes into the underdash fuse box. I have no stereo and checked for any loose and cut wires and i fixed everything.

 

so problem fixed ?

 

not yet but i will keep you updated when i turn on the headlights tonight.
