VW GTI MK5 VS HONDA ACCORD V6 COUPE 7TH GEN

Is it true that an '03 accord v6 can beat the GTI Mk5 volkswagen? The accord v6 has better stats and better times, but I am not sure about it beating a GTI. Let's say both are stock-- would the GTI lose? Thanks.
first, the problem with this post is it's not technical related..
second, it's an accord; therefore, it shouldn't be raced with to begin with.

The 2006 Accord 6-6 HFP Coupe was homologated to Grand Am and was raced with some success by a Honda team associated with a fairly well known driver.
The biggest handicap in this kind of situation appears to be the brakes, especially the rear brakes. The ABS works very well in a racing situation, but the brake callipers are the same size as the regular USA production car...and they're not quite big enough for repeated threshold braking from 140 mph.
