Default (Useless topic) NEw key just wanted to share

Well I am just doing this to really learn how to post pics and stuff, but i bought a new key from some dude on ebay, Because when i bought my car i just got some metal crap key made at the hardware store, and it looked like butt, it was so bad that sometimes when i told people to drive my car they were not sure what key it was for the car, so i wanted to share with you guys this key its really nice, and i know a lot of you have the same crap key i had because the honda one that it came with was probably lost or never giving to you, well i recommend this guy he sent the key in one day

Well the dude ebay name is lockyourcar i am not trying to promote the dude or anything, but its hard to find good sellers on ebay that dont dick you and make you wait a million years, i really got the item in one day which was cool, ok i am opening for the flaming on this useless topic, but i just wanted to share with you guys

Is it OEM? There are a few legitimate sellers with OEM Honda keys.

Anyway, size down your pics.

Size it down however you'd like. There is an option on photobucket to automatically size down your pictures as you upload them. Try that.

FYI, the OEM keys are going for ~$5 shipped.

Since it reminded me of it... This is my new valet key.

Does anyone else have a valet key?

No valet, but when I bought my CRX I had a red Honda key with it and my Civic had a blue Honda key.

Will the dealership cut that key based on your VIN? Or do you need to take it to a hardware store and have them do a copy that way?

does this key work if i have a 93 civic? I have 2 sets of keys. 1 set have 1 key for passenger and 1 for drivers door, the other set is only 1 key, that can open both sides

I understand that, just wasn't sure if the dealer would cut an aftermarket key for you.

Are you referring to yourself, Ron454321 or me? Because I'm the only one who mentioned having a valet key and Ron454321 is the only other one who mentioned them at all.

I do, that way i always know which key goes to the ek and which goes to the eg. Course, when i need to get into the trunk...... meh. I was thinking about seeing if they could do that key, but with an option for all my locks.

I don't know if this has anything to do with it, but the only physical difference between the normal key and the valet key is the valet key is quite a bit thicker.

The way my boyfriend and I tell our two stock Honda keys apart is that he added a red dot to my key on his key chain. I just use a non-Honda key for his car.

Just so you guys are aware. If you get your key cut at the dealer...its there policy to make a photocopy of your license and registration. Then they stick it in this fat binder that they keep behind the desk. So If any sketchy dealership employee ever wants to go on a stealing spree. Theres a free catalog right there . Just something to think about
