Default F23 Tranny Strong?

Are the automatic trannies on the 6th gen accords the same for 4cyl and 6cyl models? Would they be able to handle 6lbs of boost from a turbo?

6th gen auto trannys are garbage. they break under stock power.. but i think it may be only an i4 or v6. it might be both though.

Thats the main question I want to know if they both have the same trannys.

I doubt the V6 tranny is the same as the 4cyl, and the v6 trannies go out eventually. They're like auto bb6's and some RSX's. honda didnt do too good around 98-2000.

the 6 and the 4 spin in opposite directions, their trannys are not at all interchangeable

i don't think thats what he meant, i think he meant are they both the same in being able to hold power if that makes sense. Basically, if both are shitty or if ones better than the other.

Both the V6 (J30) and I4 (F23) auto trannies are complete junk. Both have high failure rates at stock power.

im not to sure about the j30 tranny, but i know for a fact that the f23' tranny is complete garbage. i have had mine replaced twice now and the car only has 146xxx miles on it. save your self the trouble and find a 5spd accord or do an auto to manual swap as soon as you can.

I think it depends on how u drive. My auto tranny has no problems so far. I'm at 141,000 miles already. I taken my car to the dragstrip numerous times. I've also been to streets of williow 2 times.
I honestly think that it depends on how you drive and how the tranny was maintained. Good luck with yours.
