ok so when out and tryed to turn on my car and nothing no crank the battery had enough charge 2 crank at least once but nothing so kick started it and it was fine then i was driving down da road and it gave me code 17 i got home parked it then tried 2 turn it on like 10 sec later and nothing samething no crank or nothing not sure whats wrong any ideas???? if it is my VSS then how do i check it???

code 17=vehicle speed sensor (vss) when u was driving did ur speedo work?
if not then there is ur problem it could have slipped out the gauge cluster or came out of the tranny and as far as the starting problem have u checked ur battery? can u jump it off with another car? could be starter, battery, altanator, fuse?? maybe

 

yha my speedo works so no sure there yha i tried jumpin it wit another car and still no go so im thinkin the battery but still shouldnt the car crank if there is even a little bit of charge in the battery?

this just happened on my 91 crx si, check and see if your battery terminals are coroded or if they have lost contact with the battery another way. pot off both posi and negative and give them a good wire brush cleaning with some baking soda. thats all mine was and it sounds like the same problem

hey im bak i tried cleaning the posts no luck i bypassed the switch and still same thing i mean the only thing left is the starter right ??? battery is good i tryed another battery so not that not sure what it could be its weired like if i push da car for a couple feet then try 2 crank it again turns on fine so that has me puzzled not sure what it could be i was thinking of taking of my starter and taking it 2 autozone for some testing no sure tho what you guys think??
