Dealership told me...
my car is throwing a code p-0500 and my v-tec is not working the dealership said i need a e-c-m or a losse conection what do u think it is and how much is it to fix

check the codes yourself, there is nothing to it....

Probable cause:
Vehicle Speed sensor
VSS circuit
ECM (cars computer)
Troubleshooting guide:
test drive.. is the correct speed indicated?
Yes: Intermittent failure.. System is OK at this time.. check for poor connections or loose wires at C112 (VSS0 or at ECM/PCM
NO: Check for OPen in the ECM..
the rest requires troubleshooting tools.. I can help if you want to do it yourself...
But just saying you need a new computer is BS
