Wear your seatbelt, dont be a jackass. But if I was trying to get rid of the sound... id go to a junkyard and find a new civic and get the buckle its self and just plug it in to the receptacle its self

Okay. So when your g/f goes airborne through the front windshield and ends up as roadkill or breaks half the bones in her body in an accident....bet you won't be "blah blahing" then. Have you seen some of the accidents that the people on this site have been involved in? Most of them probably wouldn't have survived or would be seriously injured if it weren't for that little seatbelt.

If you still want to do it however, then try the dealer if nobody on here can help you. Sadly I am unable to because I value my life and didn't really care to find out how to disable the feature.

If you want to be stupid and put your life at risk, fine whatever. But why would you want to put your girlfriends life in danger? You're supposed to protect her, not kill her

Why do you have 7000+ posts on an "unhelpful @ss forum"?

Just keep ear plugins in the car. Then you don't have to hear the sound, as well as the sound of your head breaking through the windshield and popping on the asphalt.

.......And even MORE people have had their lives spared BECAUSE they wore their seatbelt.

Ok - everyone didn't read his reply from yesterday where he clearly stated that both he and his girlfriend DO wear their seatbelts. It's just the noise that he doesn't like. This is something that I'm interested in, as well; and I ALWAYS wear my s/b.

How many of this thread exist now?

So do we turn it into an ethics battle and flame the ones wanting to bypass the belt alarm, or do we just not reply unless it's contributing to answer the question?

Let's see how this one turns out.

the best way to stop the noise is take a pencil and puncture your ear drums.

just fyi - NJ law requires you to wear your seat belt regardless of the length of drive. Any manipulation to this could lead to a penalty/fee.

When you do 100kms with your dog you'll see that he won't sit for long, he will want to move a bit on his seat and lastly he will surely sleep on the seat...

try removing the connector from under the seat.... just a guess but maybe it will work... i did it with an older 96' civic (aftermarket seats)... try it, see what happends you can always connect it back up.

you unplug that and your airbag will not work...the seatbelt/weight sensor is tied into the airbag system
