Default k20a3>>>RSX(Base) v.s. EP3 SI

ok soo ive looked and looked and looked and im either internet challenged or have not looked hard enough. if this subject has been beat to death please dont kill me. i am a newbie when it comes to k-series motors. what i wanted to know is what is the difference between the ep3 si motor and the base rsx motor. is it the intake manifold? if there is no difference between the two, can i use an ep3 turbo kit or sc? wil it not fit? what will need to be done? if this has already been asked to death, if anyone can direct me to the link where this was explained. it will be greatly appreciated. sorry for any inconveniences, just havent been able to get a str8 answer yet. thx. and dont tell me to trade my base for the type s. not gonna happen. thx

no difference in the two except the IM on the base RSX is a dual runner as opposed to the one on the EP3. that is why the base has 9-10 more lbs of torque then the ep3 on top of it being "plastic" as some would say. the base rsx is better then the EP3 motor wise cuz of that only reason. Other then that they are identical motor wise. You can use any turbo kit on anything it's just the piping and correct turbo sizing will be different and you would have to have a shop custom bend piping if you went that route. As for the turbo kit for an EP3 to be used on a base, i wouldn't be able to answer that because those are two different chassis.

There was a guy on Clubrsx that custom fitted a type S S/C on his base. He went through a lot of problems but ended up getting it how he wanted.
