Default 97 Accord Tranny Slipping?

Here's the scenerio: I slow down to make a right turn. I begin to accelerate out of the turn and my engine revs a lot higher than I think it should before it finally finds a gear and continues on. From a standing start, it acts just as it should, with no sign of transmission slippage. This over-revving only happens in turns, left or right. A "Honda" mechanic said that this was normal for the '94-'98 Accords because the fluid pickup tube in the tranny was on one side of the pan and when going around corners, there was no fluid for the tube to suck up. I think he's full of it. Anyone else experience this? My Accord is a '97 SE 4cyl. / auto. Thanks.

I think it might be normal, I had my transmission rebuilt two weeks ago and it does this still, and it did it before the rebuild as well. Its a 94..
