I just purchased a 04 Civic EX and I live in IL. In IL we have to have a plate on the front and back and my car has no where in front to mount my plate does anyone know where I can purchase one??? I was thinking maybe a junk yard but if I can order one that would be better.

 

my 03 has it molded in. but its a different bumper design then the 04-05. but mounting a license plate is pretty easy. you can screw or bolt it to just about anything.

I believe it's parts 6, 26, 30, 34, 35 (possibly 25, 31).

 

use a damn magnet.

i don't know about there, but up north in WI, if you were issued one plate from the DMV , then you only need the back plate...a quick search on the DOT site of IL states the law requiring you to have two plates if one is lost, replacement is $6 for one. don't know how much the fine is...but I'm glad I'm in WI and they aren't dicks about it if you drive an 01+ car lol **also if the dealership you purchased it from only ordered you one plate, you possibly could drive with one plate ONLY...double check with your local DMV on that one. **

 

just a suggestion did you look under the floor of your trunk where your spare tire is? might still be there

 

^^ was that where urs where because that would be weird the dealer should have mounted that plate mount

I rarely see an Illinois vehicle with a front plate. Something to do with the I-pass?

i'll sell you mine. i have one lying around. i dont use it.
