Hi all,
Accord EX, 93, auto, 171K

Replaced PCV valve over the summer and I know it is working. If i use a plier and clamp the hose on the PCV valve, the valve itself clicks. It means it is working.

My question is that the hose looks like it is collapsed. Like it is under vaccuum.

Any Idea what might be causing this?

is the hose becoming soft like it is starting to breakdown for age/ oil exposure maybe?

since it is collapsing get yourself a new one, only thing i can think of. the hose are fairly cheap and see if that solve your issue

 

Yes, just replace it. That is a faily old hose, exposed to oil and heat.
