hey are all 88-91 crx seat rails the same??
my buddy has jdm ef8 crx seats he's going to sell me,
they fit his '89 but will it fit my '88 ?? one of his friends said
something about the seatbelts that are connected to the door might be the difference... i dont know..
any help???

90 91 same

You sure about that?

I'm pretty sure 88 is all alone in it's own type, while the 89-91's are the same.

My understanding was that you are both wrong and some trim levels can throw it off.

I could be remembering incorrectly though, it has been awhile since I've cared since I started pan swapping.

Search and find out, I believe it's even in the FAQ.

 

Remember, 88 is the outcast! I know because I have an 88!

89 might also be on its on, while 90-91 are the same.

 

not sure if it even matters but i have an 88crx seat and it doesnt even come close to bolting up in the 89 hatch

 

if you have door mounted seatbelts , you cant use jdm rails.

Why then do both Sparco and Corbeau have just two brackets available for the 88-91 CRX's which consist of either brackets for solely the 88's and another bracket that covers 89-91?

usdm seat configs

88's stand alone and are equivalent to jdm crx's

89 - some had the 88 style configuration, easiest way to determine that is if the seatbelts are on the chassis and not the door then it is the same as a 88. im thinking 89 hf's only.

90-91 - all had door mounted seatbelts. so its not the same as 88.

Your question has been answered; I was mixing up the 89 crossover that had the different ones and others within the cibbic platform.

*shrug* I said I wasn't sure off the bat.
