I just bought a 00 Civic SI and whenever I start the car and turn the heat on the ac button is on? I know someone else had this problem wondering if anyone know how to fix it? thanks

 

I have the exact same problem with my si! but i don't know why either! i'll let u kno if i find anything out though

 

is it on all the settings or just the defrost?

 

is it the top control **** on auto?

This is normal if you are selecting defrost mode. The defrost setting automatically turns on the air conditioning.

 

No its just when you first turn on your heater and turn it up to like medium or something like that the AC will turn on. i have to turn off my AC and turn on my back defrost all the time! it sucks....anyone kno how to fix it?

 

mine did that for a little while, when i was switching from the ac to the heater. i just crank the heat, and turn the fan on and off once, and it reset itself.
