Marking the subframe bolts...how important is it?
I just did a clutch replacement for my friends type-s, and I DID mark the subframe bolts, but now it's kind of hard to tell which ones were supposed to go where. So, I'm hoping I can get away with just putting them back on with the impact.
I really don't see the purpose in putting them back on in exactly the same place/orientation as they were originally. So I guess I'm just trying to see Honda's logic behind this.
TIA.

The point of marking them is so that the subframe is in the same spot as before the install. If the subframe moves, then the control arms move as well and the result is a wacky alignment.
i think i'll be able to tell where they go. Unfortunately whoever pulled the half-shaft off before put standard bolts in and ruined the threads. So now I have to drill and tap it, and use over-sized bolts....and i thought the hard part was over.
