Question about a blocked cat...
Would it make a difference in power if my engine was revving as opposed to in gear with a blocked cat?
I think my car is blocked as it was cause back pressure through the gasket, but the engine revs higher than is does when in gear.
Is this still a cat problem or more of a tranny problem?

let's break this down.
While driving with a presumed blocked/clogged cat....my car had no power and would not rev at all.
When the daylight came out i noticed there was a surge of air coming from the cat's gasket, but could still rev higher.
is this still a cat problem or a tranny problem? (both have been slowly going on me)
