msd ignition (gsr)
i dont know where my other post went but anyways i blew my msd ignition on a swap. i guess i ran the pos and neg wires backwards but anyways i wanted to go back to oem anyways. so i got an ignition coil, rotor, and cap at autozone and hooked it up with no success. im guessing that the wires are hooked up wrong from the msd ignition. right now i have the third wire coming from the icm going into the pos of the coil and coming from the harness there is a wire tapped into a
?black/red? that i hooked up for the negative. these were the two wires used for msd.
but anyways. still no spark and im not picking up any resistance on either the coil or icm. so anyways my question is can someone insure my wiring and tell me if i can use my d-series icm on a b18?
cool thanks

lol thanks but going stock is going to be the fastest route for me. also i forgot to say i think i fried the fuse and i dont have my panel so i dont know the location of the fuse...if anyone has a print out of the fuse panel that would be cool. i havent located one yet.
its a 96 ex but i ended up finding a fuse layout..now i just need the wiring for the icm and ignition coil. and whether or not my d series coil and icm will work with this gsr.

they will work, msd is junk... its not needed unless your boosted and making over 600+whp

thank god i didnt open up the $200 worth of coils and icm from autozone yet...i guess i can get the wiring off my old engine (that i had to cut the rotor off of because the bolt was stripped). hopefully i can get this thing started tonight then.
