Default Help! Diagnose my car issues.

I believe the problem lies somewhere within the transmission .. The problem occurred suddenly without any warning signs. Last night when I attempted to leave a friends house my car refused to go into any gear without grinding and throwing a fit. I also noticed my clutch felt like it had way less resistance when I push it down compared to normal. The car eventually just popped into gear without a fight and drove fine for the next few miles, but then the problem started up again mid 4th to 5th shift and my car eventually just rolled to a stop. Again it popped back into gear eventually without a fight. Then this morning when I went out to start my car I had the clutch held in with the car in first as soon as the engine starts the car lunges forward until I brake despite me having the clutch in the entire way. I turn the car off and try the same with reverse. The same thing happens, car pulls in reverse until I put the car back in neutral. It seems like the clutch is partially engaged at all times even with it being held to the floor. What could be going on?

my guess would be to start with the master cylinder. check to see if you are leaking any fluid in the inside of your car. underneath the clutch area and mate.

make sure that your slave cylinder is making the full extension. if it is and you are still having the problem then its probably a bad clutch plate and its not allowing the pressure plate to fullly disengage.

Check your clutch resivoir level. If its empty your leaking fluid from somewhere. Have a buddy push your clutch and watch your slave cylinder. Make sure its pushing that arm that goes into your transmission. Look and see if theres any wet spots right on the cylinder or by the fittings/connectors (both master and slave)
